Blender chocolate cake
- Preparation time: 40 minutes
- Yield: 10 servings
Simple Chocolate Cake Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 2 tablespoons of yeast
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 4 tablespoons of cocoa powder
- 2 cups of sugar
- 3 cups of wheat flour
- 1 cup of milk
Chocolate cake filling ingredients
- 1 can of condensed milk
- 1 box of diced strawberries
- 1 tablespoon of margarine
Ingredients for the chocolate cake frosting with ganache
- ¾ cup fresh cream
- 200g of semisweet chocolate cut into cubes to melt faster
How to prepare chocolate cake
- Add the eggs, cocoa powder, wheat flour, butter, milk and sugar to the blender. Blend for approximately 5 minutes.
- Then, to make the chocolate cake creamy and soft, mix in the yeast and stir slowly with a spatula until the ingredient is well incorporated into the dough.
- In a tall, greased pan, pour the batter and bake in a preheated oven at 180ºC for approximately 40 minutes.
- Test the baking time with a toothpick or knife. To test, dip the item into the batter and see if it is done.
How to prepare the filling
- To fill the chocolate cake with strawberries, melt the margarine in a small pan, mix in the condensed milk and let it bubble.
- Then, turn off the heat and mix the chopped strawberries into the cream.
How to prepare the topping
- Melt the semisweet chocolate in a bain-marie, using a pan of boiling water and a glass or stainless steel bowl.
- Keep in mind that the bowl containing the chocolate already chopped into small bits should never come in contact with the boiling water. The chocolate should be melted with the steam alone, the same technique employed in making fondue.
- Once the chocolate is completely melted, mix in the cream until it forms a smooth cream.
- Then let it cool and refrigerate for 10 minutes. The ganache needs to be completely cold before adding it to the cake, but you need to be careful not to let it harden to the point where it turns into mousse.
